Our Ingredients

  • Bacillus licheniformis

A natural microflora (friendly bacteria) that may help the digestion process, thus providing more efficient utilization of food and produce bacteriocins, which act as natural antibiotics.

    See Probiotics for more information.

  • Bacillus subtilis

A natural microflora (friendly bacteria) that may help the digestion process, thus providing more efficient utilization of food and produce bacteriocins, which act as natural antibiotics.

  • Barley Grass

At the early stage of growth, barley is a grass that is nutritionally closer to vegetables than it is to grains. It is a rich source of chlorophyll and flavonoids which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Barley grass also contains protein, fibre, vitamins A and C, iron and potassium.

  • Barley, pearled (ancient grain, Non-GMO (GI 45))

Pearled barley is produced from whole seeds that have been scoured to remove the seed hull and bran. Even with the hull and bran removed, pearled barley is a good source of dietary fibre and the soluble fibre ß-glucan, as these are distributed throughout the seed. ß-glucan slows the passage of food allowing a gradual digestion of starch and a steady supply of energy. Fibre also promotes satiety and the proper functioning of the gastrointestinal tract.

  • Barley, whole (ancient grain, Non-GMO (GI 48))

Whole barley is the entire barley kernel chopped or ground. It is a whole grain with high levels of dietary fibre and the soluble fibre, ß-glucan. ß-glucan slows the passage of food allowing a gradual digestion of starch and a steady supply of energy. Fibre also promotes satiety and the proper functioning of the gastrointestinal tract.

  • Beef, Angus (deboned, fresh)

Angus beef is an excellent source of high-quality protein; it provides essential amino acids required for the growth and repair of muscle and can also be used for energy. The meat is delivered to our facility on the day of production to ensure freshness.

  • Beet Pulp (Sugar Removed)

A source of dietary fibre, it provides both soluble and insoluble fibres to promote healthy gastrointestinal tract function.

  • Beta Carotene (Antioxidant)

An antioxidant carotenoid, it works with other antioxidants such as vitamins E and C, within the cells of the body to control dangerous free radicals. Beta carotene is also a precursor to vitamin A in dogs; it is important for vision, bone growth, reproduction, and the function of the tissue lining all organs and blood vessels.

  • Bifidobacterium bifidum

A natural microflora (friendly bacteria) that may help the digestion process, thus providing more efficient utilization of food and produce bacteriocins, which act as natural antibiotics.

    See Probiotics for more information.

  • Biotin  (vitamin B8)

Also known as vitamin B8, it is involved in the processing of the essential fatty acids, use of energy, and maintenance of the skin and coat. Biotin is also essential in the proper functioning of the nervous system that allows organs and cells within the body to communicate.

  • Black Soldier Fly larvae (insect protein)

As the name implies, is the larvae of the black soldier fly. The larvae are a sustainable source of protein; they are raised on recycled food, reared using vertical farming techniques that do not use agricultural land and they require no water as they obtain enough from their diet. When mature, the larvae are dried and ground into a highly digestible protein meal that’s high in calcium, iron and lauric acid.

  • Blueberries

Blueberries are rich in vitamins A & C, potassium, dietary fibre and various carotenoids that are valuable antioxidants. Blueberries provide flavour, taste and natural colouring to the diet.

  • Brown rice (GI 66)

Ground brown rice is the entire product obtained in grinding the rice kernels after the hulls have been removed. An excellent source of complex carbohydrates, it provides quick energy and is loaded with B vitamins and minerals.
